Robinsons tops off Cybergate Dumaguete

CEBU, Philippines — Robinsons Offices, the commercial office arm of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), has officially topped off the Cybergate Dumaguete project.

Located in the heart of Robinsons Dumaguete complex in Calindagan, this project marks Robinsons Offices’ expansion into its 13th key city and is expected to bring more job opportunities and support economic growth in Negros Oriental.

Jericho P. Go, RLC’s Senior Vice President and General Manager for Robinsons Offices, said the development aligns with the company’s mission to keep families together by bringing careers closer to home.

“By creating jobs and business opportunities outside Metro Manila, we’re helping local communities grow while also easing congestion in the capital,” Go said.

The new three-level office building sits above a four-story mall and offers around 7,200 square meters of workspace. It is tailored to meet the needs of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies and other modern businesses.

The building will feature flexible floor plans, BPO-grade infrastructure, and direct access to Robinsons Dumaguete mall—making it convenient for both employees and customers.

Tenants will also enjoy views of the Cuernos de Negros mountain range, including Mount Talinis, creating a scenic and inspiring work environment. Accessibility is another priority, with wide ramps, efficient elevators, and thoughtful layouts that support productivity.

Dumaguete is known as a university town, producing skilled graduates in IT, engineering, and business from institutions like Silliman University and Negros Oriental State University. This gives companies access to a highly educated, English-proficient workforce—a key reason the city is recognized as a “Next Wave City” for BPO investments.

The location is highly accessible, just 15 minutes from Dumaguete-Sibulan Airport, with ferry services to nearby islands like Cebu and Bohol. A public transport terminal within the complex also connects workers to nearby towns and provinces.

Cybergate Dumaguete is built with sustainability in mind. It features a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air-conditioning system, energy-efficient LED lighting, Low-E glass windows that reduce heat, and a rainwater harvesting system. These features help cut utility costs and support Robinsons Offices’ commitment to eco-friendly developments.

“This is a future-ready workspace that balances environmental responsibility with real business value,” Go said. “We are building not just for today, but for the future generations.”

RLC has been investing across Central Visayas through various projects in Bacolod, Iloilo, and now Dumaguete.

Cybergate Dumaguete is part of the company’s broader push to decentralize business, encouraging firms to expand outside Metro Manila. — (FREEMAN)
